Oral aphthous ulcers, and cold sores that appear on the lip/border of lip area can be extremely uncomfortable or painful. Treatment with the laser can help reduce pain and shorten the healing time.
For the best results, treating lesions within their first 48 hours of appearance, or in the case of a cold sore, during the prodromal or “tingling stage” is ideal.
NOTE : Herpetic lesions (cold sores) are highly contagious, and we cannot see you for regular treatment while the lesion is in the vesicle stage.
NOTE : In order for us to treat a cold sore at least a part of it must be touching the lip.
